Caring for your skin is vital if you want it to look healthy and vibrant. However as with all health and beauty regimes it can be a pretty tiring process. It can become tedious and boring and very tempting to just say “to Hell with it” and not bother with a regime anymore. One way to deal with this negative response is to treat yourself to a facial or a massage once in a while. This takes the onus of you and allows you to relax and enjoy being pampered by somebody who is trained to ensure you have a wonderful experience? Spa or beauty treatments can leave you feeling like a million dollars, but they don’t need to cost a vast amount to have the desired effect.

You may well be surprised at how many different treatments you can get at a spa or beauty salon, and you can encourage yourself to stick to a good regime by visiting a salon on a regular basis and allowing yourself to be looked after. If you give yourself that little treat, you will develop your own little effort and reward scheme that pays off in no small way, it may even encourage you to find more time to pamper your skin at home. A face mask is a wonderful way to way to unwind, it can help to draw out impurities and leave the skin feeling as fresh and amazingly clean. An exfoliating rub is also a good idea – it gets rid of dry skin that just lies on the top of your skin and causes your pores to get clogged. There are many other treatments available, all of which will leave you feeling extremely relaxed.

There is a tendency to think that these treatment are expensive – but that doesn’t have to be the case. If you have a spa or beauty salon near you, you may find that they have regular promotions offering free or discounted treatments on certain days if certain conditions are met. Sometimes you will get a two for one deal – so bring a friend and enjoy the company as well as the treatment. You can even add it to your Christmas or birthday list. It is well worth doing every once in a while – as a treat and as a reminder of the benefits of a good skin care regime.

What are you waiting for – book yourself some Spa Time now and enjoy the luxury of being pampered

There is a vast amount of money wasted every year by men and women, who just want their skin to look the best it can, and are prepared to pay exorbitant prices without researching the efficacy of their decision. People may buy the wrong product, or simply buy the right product and use it incorrectly. Finding the right information can be like searching for the Holy Grail, especially as unscrupulous advertising can con you into thinking you are doing the best for your skin.

Here are a few tips to help ensure that you avoid the pitfalls

Firstly, do not buy a product without reading in detail what it does and what type of skin it is suitable for. This may seem to be obvious advice, but there are too many people who purchase a skin care product and are subsequently disappointed because it doesn’t have the desired affect.

Secondly, it is vitally important that you avoid at all costs any product that are simply made up of an army of chemicals. Your skin is the largest organ of elimination and conversely it will absorb what we put on it. If you wouldn’t eat the ingredients in your skin care product then don’t put it on your skin

Thirdly, do not expect a product to do all the work. It requires a little something from you, too. As often as not it will be simple – follow a good wholesome diet with plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, drink filtered water on a regular basis throughout the day. Cot down on foods that stimulate such as coffee and alcohol and leave the rest to nature.

These are just three of the many tips that can help you to avoid the pitfalls when embarking on a skincare regime. If you sign up for my blog I will keep you up to date with other tips and hints in the future

Skin Care Products – -Save your Money and Buy Products as Near to Nature as Possible

The skincare industry employs a “no holes barred” strategy when it comes to the vast range of skin care products on the market for people who want to get rid of facial blemishes and keep their skin looking fresh, clean and young. Some of these products may appear to do the job they claim to do, but at what price. Not only are they expensive but they are also using chemicals to achieve the desired affect. As with all things it is important to ensure that you get the right product for your skin type, and to make sure that it is actually addressing the problem rather than masking it.

For example anti wrinkle creams claim to reduce the appearance of your wrinkles but in fact they simply appear to be reduced because the active ingredient in the cream causes the skin to expand and stretch out where the wrinkles are. And of course in order to keep the desired effect we have to keep adding their expensive creams, whilst lining the manufacturers pocket.

Beware of the products that say “can”. It is not unusual to see advertising slogans that say that a product “can” have amazing effects. There is obviously no guarantee and in the meantime you have spent your hard earned money on a whim and a promise. If a product claims that they have proved its worth in laboratory testing remember that legally, they are required to include substantive proof that this is the case, and very often what transpires is that one or two people found that the product was helpful, within a sample of people in the low hundreds.

It is like the old saying “if it looks to good to be true it probably is”. It is also worth remembering that beauty comes from within. Our diets have by far the greatest influence on our skin and the way we look. And as far as beauty treatments are concerned “if you wouldn’t eat it – don’t put it on your skin”

Skin needs to breathe, Seven percent of the oxygen you take into your lungs is used directly by the skin. Breathing in supplies cells with essential oxygen while breathing out removes waste, including carbon dioxide.

During a workout, oxygen rushes to every cell in your body, encouraging the whole circulatory and nervous system to perform more efficiently.

The key is to get the lungs and heart working with aerobic exercise. By making your heart work harder, exercise also raises the temperature of the skin and allows cells to regenerate faster and nutrients to be absorbed.

Five 30 minute sessions a week is sufficient to ensure that your skin and the rest of your organs are getting enough oxygen. If exercise is something new to you then start off with maybe 10 minutes every other day and build up slowly.

We are all familiar with the way exercise can bring a rosy glow to our cheeks, so capitalize on this knowledge and ensure that your skin is glowing on a regular basis, keeping it alive and vibrant.

There would appear to be no limit to the money people will spend ensuring that their skin is in the best possible condition. Whether in order to attract a potential suitor, or just to look as presentable as possible for a job in the public eye, there are a lot of reasons to make sure that you keep your skin in perfect condition and free of any blemishes. When considering products for facial skin it is important to choose natural ingredients that haven’t had chemicals added. It is also important to remember that their are several different skin types that need to be taken into consideration, from acne to oily skin, from spots to blackheads and all the other things that nature can throw at you. It is worth looking at the alternative solutions that nature provides to all these problems.

Cleansing the face is an essential everyday task, but you need to avoid any harsh soaps that may irritate the skin. By washing the skin with chemically-enhanced soap you can strip it of its natural oils and leave yourself looking, quite literally, washed out. Purchasing natural skin cleanser for your face, will ensure that your face gets the best possible treatment. Many products use aloe vera, a gentle natural ingredient that allows your skin to be cleaned gently, without giving up its natural oils.

Using natural skin cleaning products has many advantages in that they do not contain anything that has been scientifically produced. If you find that you need to wash your face more frequently than once a day, normal soaps can affect the acid mantle of your skin. So looking for natural products is the best way to be kind to your skin
